Mosquito Net Distribution to 147 Years old Karnali Primary School
US India Seva Club distributed more than 150 mosquito nets to students of the 147-year-old Karnali Primary School (established 1879) at Karnali village near the Narmada river.
Located beside the river, the school faces dense vegetation, stagnant water and high humidity that cause severe mosquito breeding. The nets help in four key ways: (1) protect children from malaria, dengue, chikungunya and other vector-borne diseases; (2) reduce illness-related absenteeism so students stay in school; (3) allow focus in heritage classrooms that rely on open windows for ventilation; and (4) lower medical costs and lost wages for rural families.
